For a long-term project in maritime systems engineering, we are looking for a dedicated Junior Project Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on on-board networks and modern data infrastructures. Your tasks

• Participation in the development of modern data infrastructures and management systems for maritime applications
• Creation of technical concepts in cooperation with experienced colleagues, partners and suppliers
• Supporting the implementation of technical solutions as part of project studies
• Development of improvement proposals to increase the efficiency and safety of existing systems
• Participation in the preparation of technical assessments to support project management decisions
• Support in the selection and coordination of suitable partner companies

Your profile

Required:

• Completed studies in the field of data science, (business) informatics, electrical engineering, information technology or comparable technical degree programs
• Basic knowledge of network technology and cloud computing
• Interest in IT security and data protection
• Very good German and good written and spoken English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable:

• Initial practical experience through internships or project work in the field of robotics, autonomous systems or systems engineering
• Affinity for maritime technologies or a connection to the navy
• Professional experience in shipbuilding is an advantage
