Project Logistics Team Lead, Bremen

I'm working exclusively with a well-respected name in German project logistics on a Team Lead role in Bremen, and it's one of the more interesting ones I've had this year.

Here's the shape of it. You'd take on a team of four to five project people, most of them with three to four years of project experience behind them. It's a hands-on role first and foremost. You'd own projects as Project Manager with the team supporting you, typically running two to four at once, and you'd be developing and holding key accounts alongside that. When a project winds down, you help make sure the next one is coming through the door. You wouldn't be carrying that alone, but you'd be part of it.

The cargo mix is diverse, with machinery, construction, steel, power and renewables included. They're deliberately not tied to one sector, so the person who does well here is flexible and genuinely open-minded about what comes across the desk.

To be clear this is a midsized company where everyone handles files A to Z. If you've built your career in a very large forwarder where the file is split across five departments, this will feel different. Some people love that, some don't, and it's better to know which you are before we talk.

You'd report to the Head of Projects, who effectively runs the branch, with full responsibility for the team.

Who they're after

Around eight years in project logistics is the benchmark, but they're not rigid about it. Formal line management experience isn't essential either. A Senior Project Manager who has mentored and guided colleagues could absolutely take this on. What matters more is that you're hands-on, commercially aware, and comfortable being the person the team looks to.

The package

The fixed salary is up for discussion, but with various bonuses included we're looking at a total financial package of around €90,000 - €95,000 with flexibility possible.

In addition to that there's key account commission, whether you brought on the clients or not. The role comes with a company car on top.

Five days in the office is the preference, though there's no hard rule. They're able to start someone either late 2026 or early 2027, so now's the time if you're thinking about making a move.
