Global Advisory Program Leader - Business Support (f/m/d)
- Setting direction of and driving the Program: As the Program Leader, the successful candidate is responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the program forward. He/she will establish clear objectives that guide the program's trajectory, ensuring alignment with the organization's priorities. Leadership will be key in achieving the program’s goals, maintaining transparency, and demonstrating accountability to the GQ&RM Advisory Leadership.
- Relationship Management: The successful candidate will work alongside Global Advisory leadership to support the Advisory business’ key collective priorities and ongoing business. This involves fostering effective communication, collaboration, and trust. By actively listening and engaging in meaningful conversations with stakeholders, you identify and pro-actively address their quality and risk management needs and challenges. Other stakeholders include the Global Independence Group, Global Business Operations, service line leaders, Global Advisory business leaders, and local risk management teams. The successful candidate will leverage available resources and their relationship network to address challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborative Team Leadership: The Program Leader is pivotal in fostering effective collaboration within the team. He/she will create a cooperative environment that supports teamwork and cross-program collaboration, providing continuous guidance and support. This role involves identifying and addressing gaps to ensure initiatives are aligned and complementary. By leveraging his/her strong collaboration skills, the successful candidate will actively mentor their team members and align initiatives to achieve shared goals. His/her leadership ensures programs work harmoniously, promoting teamwork and driving success. Additionally, he/she will lead their own team within GQ&RM Advisory (with 3 direct reports), ensuring accountability and transparency in achieving program objectives.
- Ongoing Projects:
Global Accreditation for Advisory Program – This program is an important business-led initiative, with Business Support running the PMO. It is designed to enhance quality and consistency across our high-risk Advisory services. It facilitates the swift identification of accredited professionals, increasing our delivery capabilities globally for the benefit of our clients. - Advisory Taxonomy:
In this project Business Support works alongside Global Advisory Leadership, the Global Independence Group, Global Business Operations and Global Finance in the annual revision of the Advisory Taxonomy of Services providing Quality and Risk Management input. - Business Support Working Group:
In this project, Business Support collaborates with senior subject matter experts to identify key current and emerging business challenges and opportunities. These insights are then shared with Service Line Leaders and other business stakeholders to help them anticipate risks, prepare effectively, and capitalize on opportunities.

- Advisory (Consulting or Deal Advisory) Experience: The successful candidate will have extensive, multi-year experience as an Advisory professional in a client-facing role, with knowledge and skills equivalent to a Senior Manager, including a solid understanding of client needs and delivering effective solutions for the Advisory business. He/she will have a willingness to learn and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment that values differences in backgrounds and perspectives. He/she exhibits excellent strategic thinking and goal setting capabilities to take a lead role in senior level discussions.
- Engagement Management including Project and Risk Management: The successful candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of KPMG's Quality & Risk Management policies, procedures and guidance enabling them to identify and manage project risks to ensure project success and minimize potential issues. He/she is also familiar with data analytics developments to identify reasons for non-compliance or non-quality performance and to establish measures to integrate and further develop Risk Management processes supporting the Advisory business.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: The successful candidate shows a strong interest in identifying risks faced by the Advisory business in a constantly changing environment. Hereby, the successful candidate has the skills to develop new risk mitigation and quality improvement strategies to support global Advisory leadership in navigating uncertainties.
- Data Analytics: The successful candidate will utilize his/her experience in data analytics to leverage advanced data sets for assessing and managing risks. Data-driven insights inform strategic decisions and optimize program performance, ensuring resilience and adaptability.
- Effective Communication: The successful candidate will communicate precisely and effectively in English, both in writing and orally, to ensure clear and impactful interactions with stakeholders.
- Technological Affinity and Flexibility to Travel: The successful candidate demonstrates an affinity for technology and a willingness to travel (to a limited extent) to adapt to new tools and environments, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness.
