Our client is executing a large‑scale infrastructure and automation program requiring rigorous project governance, performance management, and control systems. The project is managed within a global, multicultural environment and coordinated with HQ functions, PMO, contractors, and technical suppliers.

Job Description

As part of a project leadership team, the group is looking for an individual to lead the project controls discipline for the project in Bremerhaven.

• Implement, maintain and drive the transparent application of the group project management and control tools by the project team itself and its consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Obtain and maintain scope, schedule, quality control and budget baselines.
• Ensure correct and timely reporting with all internal and external stakeholders (technical, HQ, corporate counterparts, contractors & suppliers etc)
• Controls & Governance: Implement project controls and project procedures to manage the construction, delivery of equipment and project IT & automation proactively.
• Track project progress against the approved baselines and, where appropriate, ensure issues are proactively addressed, resolved and/or escalated and reported.

The Successful Applicant

• With a background in Civil Engineering or equivalent under qualifications, minimum 10+ years in project controls for large capital projects.
• Proven track track record complex project environment (brown- or greenfield plant)
• Experience as a planner or leader of planning teams on major infrastructure programmes.
• Certified Project Management (PRINCE2, PMP etc) and proven track record managing project baselines, performance metrics, and governance structures.
• Strong expertise with project control systems (e.g., PMWeb, Aconex, Proliance) and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong communication skills with ability to present effectively to senior internal and external stakeholders.
• English fluency required; German intermediary required (B2)
